Has your student expressed an interest in performing on stage, but you don’t know where to start? Are they an avid storyteller, but don’t yet have an avenue to express that? Acting Out at Perry Ryan Theater is the place for them. Designed for students who are at the start of their acting journey, or need some help building their confidence on stage, Acting Out utilizes theater games and scene workshops to build the fundamentals of acting into your young artist.

Putting the musical in musical theater, this choral style course helps young artists cultivate one of their most important tools, their voice! If your student has a passion for musical theater, and wants to grow vocally, this course is for them!

Note: To ensure students are able to succeed in this choir format, a short video "audition" is required to confirm registration. Further details are shared in registration!

Has your student acted on stage before, but wants to take their skills to the next level? Are they truly invested in performance, and want to shine on stage? This intensive theater course dives further into the techniques of Sanford Meisner, going beyond the basics to help your student not just perform on stage, but truly tell a story that captures the audience.

Before a script ever lands in your hands, there’s the audition room. This practical, industry-informed lab demystifies auditions and equips students with the tools, and confidence, to walk in prepared and walk out proud.

 

Students will leave the class with:

- One professional headshot

- An understanding of how to choose monologues and songs that work best for their “type”

- Professional grade review of select pieces from industry professionals

- Confidence that when they walk into the audition, they have the skills to put their best foot forward

Prerequisite: Previous performance before (acting, choir, etc).

All Bentonville classes will perform as a part of our Spring Academy Showcase on March 21st.

Fayetteville Classes

Peter Pan in 30 Mins Course (2).png

Perry Ryan Academy proudly presents its student production of Peter Pan in 30 Minutes. Offered in conjunction with Choice Education Network, this drama practicum course teaches students the fundamentals of theatrical performance through real, hands on experience. Full of excitement and pirates, this is one you won’t want to miss!
