Is your student an avid storyteller, and wanting to spend their summer performing on stage?
Perry Ryan Academy Summer Camps offer high quality theater education to students, all with the magic of summer camp that makes the experience unforgettable!
All Perry Ryan Summer Camps are rooted in three core principles; Care, Confidence and Competence.
-
Care: Perry Ryan's mission is to "preserve the joy of musical theater for future generations and all people." This starts with building a community who cares not only about the amazing art form, but also each other. We all work better in an uplifting environment, and that starts by uplifting those around us. Kindness is paramount, bullying is intolerable.
-
Confidence: Getting on stage is no easy feat, and we here at Perry Ryan want to support and honor that journey. Every time your student enters into our program, they will leave feeling more supported and comfortable in their skills, and have more confidence for the next time they will step onto stage.
-
Competence: At Perry Ryan, one thing is king; The Story. We are firm believers that something worth doing is worth doing well, which includes our summer productions. We seek to teach real, industry approved performance techniques. As we strive for excellence in our instruction, we also expect students to rise to the challenge.
From beginner's who are building the foundations of their acting toolbox, to students who live and breathe on the stage, there is a Perry Ryan Summer Camp for YOUR student!

FAQ’s
Can I use my EFA Funds on Perry Ryan Camps?
My Camper needs accommodations, is Perry Ryan able to provide that?
As part of our mission statement we believe in the joy of musical theater for ALL people. We value accessibility in our spaces, and want to make sure that all of our community is supported. However, due to limited resources, certain accommodations are difficult. This program has been known to be very demanding of students physically, mentally, and emotionally. If your student struggles with chaotic environments, and high pressure situations, they may find this camp space challenging. If you have specific questions or concerns, email admin@perryryantheater.com!
Do I have to audition to participate in Camp?
No, to register, you do not need to audition for either camp. However, after registration, each camp will have their own audition process to determine role within the show/showcase. This does not affect their participation in camp as a whole!
What will my student be doing over the course of the week?
Whether in a bootcamp or a production camp, students will work to create a production or showcase that will teach them about acting, singing, dancing, and overall performance skills. This takes place through a combination of rehearsal sessions, as well as masterclasses taught by our fantastic instructors. See our example camper schedule for what a week at production camp could look like.
Are there scholarships available for camp?
At this time, we currently do not have scholarships available for PRTC Summer Camps. However, we do have the ability to do split payments. If this is something you would like to pursue, email admin@perryryantheater.com.
Are lunches provided?
No, caregivers will be asked to provide lunches for their camper. Note that our facility does not have access to a fridge or microwave, so please plan accordingly.
